About Us
Train Solutions Ltd is a UK contractor specialising in rolling stock engineering. Our teams carry out technical work on passenger vehicles — interiors, electrical systems, mechanical equipment and exterior finish — working alongside operators, vehicle owners and prime contractors.
The business is built on more than 25 years of proven engineering experience, both hands-on and technical, covering all engineering aspects of rolling stock across fleets. There is no demand we have not resourced before.
A fleet's value sits in its remaining service life. Modification work protects that life when it is planned against the maintenance schedule, carried out by competent staff and signed off against the applicable standard. That is the work we do.
We take on defined work packages or supply labour into a client's own programme. The same controls apply either way: documented competence, supervised delivery, inspection and close-out.
Our cost base is lean — direct labour and low overhead — which lets us offer competitive rates without reducing the standard of the work. Savings come from how we are structured, not from what we leave out.

Vehicle condition assessment and rectification for lease hand-back, fleet transfer and end-of-franchise requirements. We survey against the lease condition standard, agree the scope of rectification, and carry out the work — returning vehicles in the condition the agreement requires, with the documentation to evidence it.
Seat, floor and panel replacement, saloon refits and accessibility modifications, finished to passenger-environment standards.
Wiring modifications, equipment installation, lighting conversion and systems work, carried out and tested to the applicable standards.
Fitters and technicians for brake, door, bogie and underframe work at depot level, supporting overhaul and campaign change.
Surface preparation, vinyl application and decals for rebrand and refresh work, with finish inspection on completion.
Labour support for static and dynamic testing, fault-finding and return-to-service work.
Inducted, supervised teams stood up at client sites — short-notice cover or full programme duration.
